01

Who we are and what this notice covers

Voxeze is developed and operated by Leonardo Bilia, an independent developer operating under the Codeeze Apps umbrella brand (“Voxeze,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). This Privacy Policy covers the Voxeze macOS application and this product website at voxeze.codeeze.com.

For questions or privacy requests, contact codeeze@codeeze.com. Voxeze does not require a user account.

02

The Voxeze website

This website has no account system, contact forms, analytics, advertising, marketing pixels, or tracking cookies. We do not create behavioral profiles from your visit.

Our hosting and network providers may process standard delivery and security logs, such as IP address, browser and device information, requested URL, timestamps, and diagnostic or abuse-prevention data. Those providers process this information to deliver and protect the site and may retain it according to their own operational policies.

03

Information stored locally by the app

Voxeze is local-first. Imported media, recordings, derived audio, transcripts, edits, transcript chats, speech projects, batch jobs, preferences, downloaded models, and project metadata are normally stored on your Mac or in locations you select. This content is not sent to Voxeze or Codeeze Apps merely because you use the app.

Provider credentials or API keys that you add are stored in Apple Keychain. When you export a transcript, subtitle, audio file, PDF, JSON file, or portable Voxeze project, the exported copy leaves Voxeze’s control and is governed by the place or service where you save or share it.

04

Permissions and files you select

Voxeze may request access to the microphone for recording, speech recognition for Apple Speech features, and user-selected files or folders for import, export, batch processing, and project storage. macOS controls these permissions. You can review or revoke them in System Settings, although the related feature may then stop working.

Voxeze accesses only the content you deliberately record, open, import, or select through macOS system controls and the application’s own workspace.

05

On-device processing

Depending on the feature, device, downloaded assets, and settings you choose, Voxeze can process content on-device using Apple Speech, verified Whisper models, Chatterbox speech models, and Apple Foundation Models. Compatible Apple Intelligence features also depend on Apple’s platform availability, language, region, and device requirements.

Local processing is the default design principle. Some Apple frameworks may be subject to Apple’s system behavior and terms. Voxeze will not silently move a task to OpenRouter or another cloud model if a local operation is unavailable.

06

Optional OpenRouter processing

Cloud processing is optional and requires your explicit configuration and choice. When you use an OpenRouter-powered feature, the content required for that request may be sent to OpenRouter and the model provider you selected. Depending on the task, this may include selected audio, transcript context, conversation history, prompts, requested output settings, and technical request metadata.

OpenRouter states that prompt and response content is not stored by default, while separate model providers may apply their own logging, retention, training, location, and privacy practices. You are responsible for reviewing the privacy terms of the provider you select. OpenRouter may also process account, billing, routing, and abuse-prevention data under its own policies. See OpenRouter’s privacy documentation.

Voxeze does not control OpenRouter or its model providers. Do not send confidential, regulated, or third-party content unless you are authorized to do so and have determined that the selected service is appropriate.

07

Purchases, RevenueCat, and the App Store

Voxeze uses Apple’s App Store systems and RevenueCat to validate the one-time Premium purchase and maintain the Premium entitlement. RevenueCat may process an anonymous app user identifier, purchase and entitlement history, receipt or transaction information, app version, device and operating-system information, and technical diagnostics needed to validate purchases and restore access. Voxeze does not require you to create a RevenueCat account.

Apple processes App Store downloads, payments, receipts, refunds, and associated account information under Apple’s policies. We generally receive purchase status and transaction identifiers rather than your full payment-card details. For details on RevenueCat’s data practices, see its Apple App Privacy guidance and privacy policy.

08

Other network requests

Voxeze may contact Codeeze Apps or service-provider infrastructure to retrieve a model catalog, verify model information, download model assets, check purchase entitlements, or support app functionality. These requests may expose standard network data such as IP address, request time, app version, device or operating-system information, and download status to the provider delivering the request.

Downloaded model files remain on your Mac until you remove them or reset the relevant app data. The licenses and notices applicable to third-party models remain available with the app or model information.

09

Support communications

If you email codeeze@codeeze.com, we receive your email address and the content and attachments you choose to provide. We use this information to answer the request, diagnose reported problems, protect the service, and keep reasonable support records.

Please avoid sending recordings, transcripts, keys, or other sensitive content unless it is necessary for support and you are authorized to disclose it.

10

Purposes and legal bases

Where the General Data Protection Regulation or similar law applies, we process personal data only where we have an appropriate legal basis.

  • Contract: to deliver the app, validate purchases, restore entitlements, and provide requested support.
  • Legitimate interests: to secure, maintain, diagnose, and improve the website and app, prevent abuse, and keep appropriate business records, balanced against your rights.
  • Consent or your direction: when you grant macOS permissions, configure an optional provider, or deliberately send content for cloud processing.
  • Legal obligation: when necessary to comply with tax, accounting, consumer-protection, court, or regulatory requirements.

11

Service providers and international transfers

We share information only as needed with providers that support hosting, content delivery, model downloads, App Store distribution and payments, entitlement validation, optional AI processing you select, and email support. These include Apple, RevenueCat, OpenRouter, the model provider you choose, and technical infrastructure providers.

Some providers may process data outside Portugal or the European Economic Area. Where required, transfers rely on adequacy decisions, standard contractual clauses, a provider’s recognized transfer mechanism, or another lawful safeguard. Data may also be disclosed when required by law, to protect rights and safety, or in connection with a lawful business reorganization.

12

Retention, deletion, and reset

Local projects, downloaded models, preferences, and credentials remain until you delete them, remove them through Voxeze or macOS, reset the app, or uninstall the app. Removing an app does not necessarily delete files you exported to other locations.

Support correspondence is kept only as long as reasonably needed to resolve the request, maintain a record of the interaction, and meet legal obligations. Purchase and transaction records may be retained by Apple, RevenueCat, or us for entitlement, accounting, fraud-prevention, and legal purposes. Website security logs are retained by infrastructure providers according to their operational policies.

Deleting local content cannot delete copies already exported, shared, backed up, or sent to a third-party provider. Requests about OpenRouter, Apple, RevenueCat, or a selected model provider may need to be directed to that provider.

13

Security, children, and your rights

We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards appropriate to the service, including local-first storage and Keychain for credentials. No system or transmission method is completely secure, and you are responsible for protecting your Mac, backups, exported files, and provider credentials.

Voxeze is not directed to children under 13 and is not intended for a child to use without the involvement of a parent or guardian. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children through the website.

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, erase, restrict, object to, or receive a portable copy of personal data we control, and to withdraw consent without affecting earlier processing. Contact codeeze@codeeze.com. We may need to verify your request. You may also complain to Portugal’s supervisory authority, the Comissão Nacional de Proteção de Dados (CNPD), or your local authority. Mandatory regional privacy rights are not limited by this notice.

14

Changes and contact

We may update this Privacy Policy when Voxeze, applicable law, or service providers change. The revised policy will show a new last-updated date. Material changes may also be communicated in the app or through another appropriate channel.

Privacy questions and requests may be sent to codeeze@codeeze.com.
